Just one more reason to head to Greece this summer.
With turquoise seas, white sandy beaches and friendly locals, there’s a reason Greece attracts around 28 million visitors per year. While the mainland itself is stunning and oozing history, it’s the Greek islands – all 3,000 of them – that leave travellers in awe.
One of the best ways to visit these islands is on a cruise, so it’s no surprise that Greece has just been named as the best cruise destination in the world by the cruise industry’s Wave Awards.
Greece was named by the judges as the best country and port in the UK-based awards, which recognises excellence in the cruise industry through a mix of judge input and public vote.
Barbados took home the public’s vote award for favourite cruise destination, and the public also voted for Cunard as its favourite luxury cruise line, Viking River Cruises as its favourite river cruise line and Royal Caribbean as its favourite ocean cruise line….
