THE BEST cruise holidays for 2018 have been revealed, as well as the worst ones to avoid if looking for the best experience this year at sea.
The best cruise holiday to book in 2018 has been revealed in a new survey by Which?.
Analysing customer service, facilities on the ship, food and drink and even entertainment and excursions on land, many of the cruises were ranked out of five to create a final score.
Whilst the worst cruise liner was also included in the ranking, the customer score was still 60 per cent which shows that many of the ships still offer a great service at sea.
But which ones are the best to book for a holiday in 2018?
The best cruise with 89 per cent customer happiness was Oceania Cruises, a smaller ship compared to other big cruise liners.
With ships no bigger than 1,250 passengers, compared to the largest to launch with 5,500 passengers later this year, it means a much more intimate experience.
Oceania Cruises also scored full marks for many of the criteria, with it only falling short for on-board entertainment, being given three out of five stars.
It has previously won awards for being the best cruise for food-enthusiasts as well.
A close second was Saga Ocean Cruises, which specialises in over 50’s holidays so passengers can avoid any younger couples or children.
It was given five stars for customer service, passenger to space ratio, onboard facilities, cabins, food and drink as well as whether the description of the ship matched up.
It only fell short when it came to excursions on the ship and on land, as well as having four stars for value for money.
With all of the cruise liners being given four stars, this shows that most passengers believe the cost of a cruise works out.
Norwegian Cruise Line, despite still getting a relatively satisfactory 60 per cent, came in last.
As one of the bigger cruise liners with ships holding up to 4,000 passengers, it may come as no surprise that passenger to space ratio only received three stars.
A video recently emerged showing a Norwegian cruise ship being buffeted by high winds in the Caribbean.
